The Department of Policy organized a meeting to focus on policy work and priorities for the new academic year, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Ung Borat, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Director-General, Deputy Director-General of the General Department of Policy and Planning, Dr. Director of the Policy Department, Deputy Director of the Department, Deputy Director of the Office, and all officials of the Department of Policy.

The above meeting was organized for three main purposes:

(1) Reviewing research work and aligning research work with the Ministry’s priorities:

• Developing the “Strategic Framework for Enhancing PISA Outcomes in Cambodia”
• Developing the Strategic Framework for Improving and Sustaining Distance Learning in Cambodian Secondary Schools
• Researching, analyzing, and developing a strategic plan to increase enrollment in the science education track in the general education system
• Researching on the effectiveness of implementing new education tracks in pilot resource schools
• Researching on developing a pedagogical impact framework and teaching methods to improve Cambodian students’ PISA test results (new)

(2) Preparing a roadmap for implementation for the new school year, focusing on supporting schools, promoting the implementation of digital education strategies for schools, and implementing model school standards and planning towards PISA-2029

(3) Managing and organizing the responsibilities of subordinate staff in accordance with their skills and talents.
